JEE Advanced 2026 Results Declared by IIT Roorkee

A long wait is over for engineering hopefuls all over India as the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2026 have been announced by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. Arohi Deshpande placed first among female candidates, while Shubham Kumar of the IIT Delhi zone came out on top overall.

With a score of 330 out of 360, Shubham Kumar was declared the winner of the Common Rank List (CRL).

There were almost 1.8 lakh people who took the test, and more than 56,000 of them passed.

Candidates’ performance across categories is highlighted in the CRL and category-wise merit lists that were provided by IIT Roorkee alongside individual scorecards.

The national rankings were topped by Shubham Kumar, as per the findings. It was an outstanding showing for the area, as he was followed by two IIT Delhi zone players, Jatain Chahar and Kabir Chhillar.

The official JEE Advanced website is where candidates can go to see their scores. Students need to enter their date of birth, registered mobile number, registration or roll number, and password in order to access their scorecards online. Officials have emphasised that applicants should keep a hard copy of their scorecard since it would be needed for admissions and counselling.

According to official statistics, 1,87,389 people signed up for JEE Advanced 2026, and 1,79,694 people showed up for the two exams that were held on May 17. Of the 56,880 test takers who met the qualifying criteria, 10,107 were female students.

On the same day, there were two sessions of the test. Testing locations around the nation were open from 9 in the morning until noon on Paper 1, and from 2 in the afternoon until 5 in the evening for Paper 2.

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are some of the most famous engineering schools in India, and JEE Advanced is the entrance exam for their undergraduate engineering programs. The next step for eligible applicants is to take part in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority’s (JoSAA) counselling and seat allocation process.

Each of the eleven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs)—in Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Roorkee, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Varanasi, and Dhanbad—accepts this test.

Now that the results are out, those who did well can move on to the next stage of their education, while those who did not still have options through prominent state-run engineering institutes, NITs, and IIITs.
