Q4 Profit Rises 5% as Bharat Electronics Limited Declares Final Dividend

Increases in both operational revenue and operational growth helped propel Bharat Electronics Limited’s (BEL) consolidated net profit up 4.61 percent in the most recent quarter of fiscal year 26.

Compared to the same quarter in FY25, the state-owned defence equipment manufacturer reported a higher consolidated net profit of 2,225.22 crore in the March quarter, as reported in the stock exchange filing.

Compared to the same period last year, revenue from operations in Q4 FY26 was Rs 10,224.43 crore, an increase of 11.74 percent.

Revenue for BEL increased 6% to Rs 2,982 crore in the quarter, from Rs 2,816 crore in the previous fiscal year’s fourth quarter. Operating margin, however, fell from 30.7% to 29.1% from the previous year.

Subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting, the board of directors has proposed a final dividend of Rs 0.55 per fully paid-up equity share of face value Rs 1 each for FY26.

As a whole, BEL’s revenue from operations for FY26 was Rs 27,479.63 crore, up 16.15% from Rs 23,658.01 crore in FY25.

With a rise of 14.38% from the previous fiscal year’s total of 5,288.25 crore, the profit after tax for FY26 came to 6,048.48 crore.

As of April 1, 2026, the firm reported a robust order book worth Rs 73,882 crore.

The three companies—Metamind Systems Private Ltd, Kristellar Aerospace Private Ltd, and BEL—signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding earlier this month to work together on developing technologies and products that are ready for the future, both in the defence and non-defense industries. The three companies’ respective technological and commercial strengths will be pooled in this partnership.
