Ola Electric S1Z officially entered the market at an introductory price of Rs 79,999. Chairman and Managing Director Bhavish Aggarwal announced the launch on X, confirming deliveries will begin in December 2026. The baseline model features a 3.1 kWh battery package delivering a claimed 179 km IDC range. Additionally, the company introduced the premium Ola Electric S1Z Plus variant priced at Rs 99,999. Equipped with a 5.1 kWh battery, this upgraded model offers an extended 301 km IDC range, with customer deliveries starting in March 2027. Both variants deliver a top speed of 70 kmph via a 4 kW peak motor.
Ola Electric S1Z Features Indigenous Bharat Cell Technology
In-house engineering powers the new Ola Electric S1Z portfolio. The scooters integrate locally manufactured 46160 LFP Bharat Cells produced at the company’s Gigafactory. Supported by 426 patents, these indigenous cells operate across extreme temperatures ranging from -30°C to +70°C, offering an estimated battery life exceeding 15 years. Furthermore, both models run on MoveOS 5. Standard features include over-the-air software updates, real-time GPS tracking, ride analytics, and geo-fencing capabilities through the Ola companion app.

Market response to the Ola Electric S1Z launch remained strong across major exchanges. Shares of Ola Electric Mobility rose nearly 4 per cent to trade at Rs 39.10 on the National Stock Exchange following the reveal. By developing the vehicle, battery cells, motor, and software stack in-house, the manufacturer aims to set a new affordability benchmark across India’s expanding two-wheeler electric mobility market.
