Government Names 48 New Joint Secretaries in Key Leadership Reshuffle

The Cabinet’s Appointments Committee has greenlit the hiring of forty-eight officers to positions at the level of Joint Secretary or an equivalent position in several ministries, including Civil Aviation, Defence, Agriculture, Home, Petrochemicals, Shipping and Ports, and the Centre’s pay matrix at Level 14.

Included in this group is Hardik Satishchandra Shah, IAS (GJ:2010), who serves as the Prime Minister’s Office’s Private Secretary (Joint Secretary level);

With the position of Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Commerce’s Department for the Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ms. Kajal, IAS (UP:2008)

In his capacity as Joint Secretary of the Department for the Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade; Ministry of Commerce, Sumeet Kumar Jarangal, IAS (PB:2009)

As the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Priyanka Das (IAS, MP:2009) is serving.

Joining the Department of Defence as Joint Secretary is Shailesh Kumar Chourasia, IAS (MN:2007).Department of Defence

Kapil Meena, an IAS graduate from the 2010 batch, is now the head of the National Horticulture Board under the USDA.

Joining the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (MoPPGP) as Joint Secretary is Harmit Singh Pahuja, IAS (MN:2010).
