Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has signed an MoU with HyperVault AI Data Center Limited (HADL) to support the renewable energy requirements of its upcoming data centre facilities in Telangana.
The partnership will explore captive renewable energy projects to provide reliable green power for HyperVault AI’s planned data centre operations. It will also support the growing energy needs of India’s expanding digital infrastructure.
Renewable Energy Projects to Support Data Centres
Under the MoU, SECI will explore the development of renewable energy projects on a captive basis for HyperVault AI’s data centre facilities.
The initiative will focus on identifying suitable land for renewable energy projects. SECI will also facilitate transmission connectivity to enable power supply to the data centres.
The proposed projects are expected to support a reliable supply of green power for energy-intensive data centre operations.
Renewable Energy Partnership Strengthens Green Power Supply
The collaboration brings together India’s growing data centre infrastructure and its clean energy transition.
Data centres require a stable and reliable power supply. The partnership aims to meet part of this demand through captive renewable energy generation.

MoU Signing Ceremony
Shri Sivakumar V. Vepakomma, Director (Power Systems), SECI, and Mr. Deepesh Nanda, MD & CEO, HyperVault AI Data Center Limited, signed the MoU.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Shri Akash Tripathi, IAS, Managing Director, SECI, along with senior officials from both organisations.
Significance for India’s Data Centre Sector
SECI and HyperVault AI described the collaboration as the first-ever exclusive renewable energy supply initiative for data centre operations in India.
The partnership is aimed at creating a dedicated green power solution for HyperVault AI’s planned data centres in Telangana.
