By contributing to the completion of important motorway projects in Uttar Pradesh while maintaining high standards of quality and safety, RITES Ltd is helping to bolster India’s infrastructure development.
External Technical Audit (ETA) and Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services were given by RITES on the Purvanchal Motorway, guaranteeing high construction standards. A major commercial route in eastern UP, the corridor connects Lucknow to Ghazipur.
The expressway’s potential to serve dual purposes was recently showcased during an aviation exercise near Sultanpur on April 22, 2026, by the Indian aviation Force. A dedicated airstrip was used for landing and touch-and-go operations by frontline aircraft such as the Sukhoi Su-30MKI, SEPECAT Jaguar, Dassault Mirage 2000, HAL Tejas, and the Airbus C-295.
The Uttar Pradesh Motorways Industrial Development Authority is developing the Ganga Motorway, a 594-km greenfield project, and RITES is also an integral part of this project. Over 312 miles in various portions, the business is conducting safety audits.
Its goal is to guarantee strong safety integration throughout one of the biggest highway projects in India, and it does this by conducting audits throughout the construction phase, safety checks in the work zone, road safety workshops, and assessments during the development stage.
Supporting national infrastructure priorities, RITES improves operating efficiency and ensures long-term sustainability through its multi-dimensional involvement in project management, technical audits, and safety assurance.
