Underground Coal Gasification received a fresh push as Dr. B. Veera Reddy, Advisor, Ministry of Coal, reviewed Eastern Coalfields Limited’s (ECL) pilot R&D project at Kasta in Jharkhand. The visit focused on the project’s implementation and the development of clean coal technology.
Dr. Reddy inspected the project site and assessed its current progress. ECL officials and representatives of EETI briefed him on the different units of the pilot UCG plant.
