As part of their continuing Swachhata Pakhwada program, NLC India Limited (NLCIL) reaffirmed their commitment to environmental sustainability and public cleanliness by organising a large beach clean-up drive at Samiyarpettai Beach. The Vigilance Department’s officers and personnel enthusiastically participated in the effort.
Leaders of the cleanup effort included Vigilance’s General Manager R. Gunasekaran and Chief General Manager T.G. Citrakala. On the beach, a big crew of vigilance officers, administrative assistants, operators, and support workers diligently gathered trash, litter, and other trash.
Samiyarpettai Beach, one of the most visited beaches in the area, saw a dramatic makeover after the rigorous cleaning effort. Residents and visitors alike were captivated by the project, which prompted a surge in public cleaning efforts.
In addition to collecting trash, the campaign spread the word about the importance of eco-friendly trash disposal, good citizenship, and other related topics. Officials from NLCIL stressed the need to promote sustainable practices and lessen plastic pollution in order to protect natural habitats.
Swachhata Pakhwada is just one example of how NLC India Limited is working to promote a cleaner, greener future through community engagement, environmental protection, and the Swachh Bharat Mission, which is spearheaded by the Indian government.
In summary
The Swachhata Pakhwada beach clean-up in Samiyarpettai is an example of how NLC India’s employees are actively working to promote environmental responsibility, raise public awareness, and build sustainable communities.
