Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy has secured significant new orders worth over ₹985 crore across India and South Africa.
The company said in a press release dated September 22 that the orders include a 534.3 MWp project in Rajasthan and two Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects with a combined capacity of 616 MWh in South Africa.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Secures 534.3 MWp Rajasthan Order
The Rajasthan order is from a new customer and covers a Balance of System (BOS) package for a 534.3 MWp project.
According to the company, the project is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 0.80 million tonnes once commissioned.
The project will contribute to the expansion of renewable energy capacity while supporting lower carbon emissions.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Wins 616 MWh BESS Order
In South Africa, the company has secured an order from a repeat customer for two BESS projects with a combined capacity of 616 MWh.
The order covers a turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) wrap project.
The repeat customer has previously worked with SWREL and has awarded the project based on its experience with the company’s capabilities and project execution.

Commenting on the order wins, Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy, said the company was pleased to receive the two orders in Rajasthan and South Africa.
