Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the planning, development, and modernisation of logistics infrastructure projects across India have been signed by RITES Limited and Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), marking a significant milestone in the country’s efforts to improve its logistics infrastructure.
Two prominent Navratna Public Sector Enterprises under the Ministry of Railways entered into a strategic cooperation on June 29, 2026, in Gurugram, when they signed the MoU.
The agreement states that CONCOR may hire RITES on a work-to-work basis to offer full-service consulting throughout a project’s lifetime, from inception to commissioning. Planning, implementing, and executing logistics infrastructure projects efficiently and to a high standard are intended outcomes of the integrated consultant method.
In line with the National Logistics Policy and the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, which seek to reduce logistics costs and improve supply chain efficiency, the partnership is in line with India’s continuing endeavours to establish an integrated, efficient, and technology-driven logistics ecosystem.
By working together, RITES and CONCOR hope to speed up the rollout of logistical infrastructure projects around the nation.
Together, RITES and CONCOR offer a wealth of knowledge in transportation consulting, engineering, and project management, as well as substantial operational expertise in container logistics, multimodal transportation, and terminal management.
The partnership is anticipated to enhance multimodal connectivity, fortify India’s goods transportation network, and expedite the implementation of logistics infrastructure projects.
Improving trade competitiveness, lowering transit time, increasing cargo handling efficiency, and promoting economic growth are all greatly aided by modern logistics infrastructure.
