Pattathil Sujith Named Executive Director (Projects) at MRPL

Pattathil Sujith’s appointment as Executive Director (Projects) at Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) bolsters the company’s executive team and positions it to drive expansion, modernisation, and energy transition projects.

Sujith was an integral part of the company’s business strategy, strategic initiatives, and growth plans for the long term in his previous job as Group General Manager – Corporate Strategy.

Sujith has over 30 years of expertise in the field, and he is a mechanical engineer originally from Palakkad, Kerala. Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering & Inspection, Projects, and Corporate Strategy are just a few of the areas he has worked in since he joined MRPL in 1993.

Under his watch, MRPL’s refinery units I, II, and III were commissioned, the Phase III complex’s Asset Integrity Management System was put into place, and the BS-VI fuel project was carried out.

Major infrastructure developments and capital expenditure projects that support MRPL’s long-term growth strategy will be planned, executed, and commissioned by Sujith in his new position.

In addition to spearheading the company’s diversification goals, he will be instrumental in bolstering efforts connected to energy transition and sustainable business development.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas operates MRPL, a subsidiary of ONGC, as a Schedule ‘A’ Miniratna Central Public Sector Enterprise.
