NTPC Vindhyachal Drives Safety Awareness

NTPC Vindhyachal organised a Mega Pep Talk at the MGR Area on 7 October 2026, reaffirming its commitment to building a proactive and responsible safety culture across the workplace. The programme brought together senior officials, workers and members of the CII-EXIM Bank assessment team to reinforce the importance of safe practices and collective responsibility.

The programme was attended by Shri Kishore Kumar Hota, ED (Vindhyachal); Shri M. Suresh, GM (O&M); Shri Nirmal Kumar Singh, GM (Maintenance & ADM); Shri T. N. Seetharaman, GM (Chemistry); Shri Debabrata Tripathy, GM (TS & Project); and Shri V. H. Rao Maddipatla, AGM (Safety). Dr. Kalyan Krishnamoorthy, Senior Assessor, members of the CII-EXIM Bank assessment team and senior officials from various departments were also present.

NTPC Vindhyachal Reinforces Safety Commitment

Administering the Safety Pledge, Shri Kishore Kumar Hota emphasised that safety is a way of life and begins from the moment an individual steps out of home. He highlighted the need for employees to carry a strong safety mindset into every aspect of their work and daily routine.

Shri M. Suresh stressed the importance of self-discipline, respect for work, avoiding haste and ensuring the mandatory use of safety equipment. Workers also shared practical safety practices followed during routine operations, adding an operational perspective to the discussions.

Dr. Kalyan Krishnamoorthy appreciated the strong safety culture at the station and emphasised that safety should be the first consideration before undertaking any task.

Safety Awareness Through Engagement

The session conducted by Shri V. H. Rao Maddipatla focused on site safety and occupational hazards. The session aimed to sensitise workers to potential risks and reinforce safe practices during routine operations.

An engaging Nukkad Naatak further strengthened the safety messages delivered during the programme, using an interactive format to highlight the importance of vigilance and responsible behaviour at the workplace.

NTPC Vindhyachal Felicitates Workers

The programme concluded with the felicitation of more than 30 workers for their exemplary adherence to safe work practices. The recognition highlighted the role of employees in maintaining safety standards through consistent and responsible behaviour.

The initiative reinforced NTPC Vindhyachal’s focus on safe behaviour, vigilance and collective responsibility as key elements of operational excellence and a strong workplace safety culture.
