Northern Coalfields Deploys 890 HP Komatsu Dozer at Amlohri Mining Project

At its Amlohri Opencast Project, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has bolstered its mining operations by bringing online a new 890 horsepower Komatsu dozer, which has increased productivity and improved operating efficiency.

As part of its continuous efforts to upgrade its mining fleet and enhance safety standards throughout its working areas, NCL has introduced this high-capacity dozer.

The recently-commissioned Komatsu dozer is engineered to facilitate extensive earth-moving and overburden removal projects. The project site’s material handling efficiency and safety are both anticipated to be enhanced by its deployment.

The Amlohri Project’s top brass were in attendance at the inauguration. More than 160 dozers of varying capacities are now part of NCL’s fleet and used for various mining projects. The company’s commitment to meeting production goals and maintaining operational reliability in its coal mining activities is demonstrated by its ongoing investment in modern gear.

In response to increasing coal demand and to boost operational performance generally, NCL has been progressively equipping its mining infrastructure with new machinery. This overarching plan for modernisation is compatible with the use of high-capacity dozers such as the Komatsu unit.

Reiterating its dedication to improving efficiency and safety in all of its mining activities, the business has pledged to increase productivity.
