An official announcement stated that on Saturday, the Ticket Checking Section of New Jalpaiguri (NJP) under the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) reached a new record by generating over ₹2.08 crore in May 2026.
According to Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, the Northeast Frontier Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), this is the part of the railway that has generated the most money from ticket checks in a single month.This outstanding achievement is a testament to the tremendous commitment, competence, and dogged persistence of the ticket checking personnel in maintaining ticket conformity, averting ticketless travel, and protecting railway income. Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, the head of NFR, made a statement praising the accomplishment, saying it was proof of the excellent revenue protection strategies and operational excellence of the organization.
The records-breaking performance was accomplished by the Ticket Checking Staff of NJP through coordinated collaboration, rigorous enforcement efforts, and prolonged ticket-checking drives, according to the CPRO of Northeast Frontier Railway.Each day of the month, the section managed to earn over Rs. 6.54 lakh (approx.), with the greatest single-day revenue of over Rs. 9.65 lakh (approx.) occurring on May 9th, 2026. The outstanding result is a reflection of the team’s undying dedication, outstanding efficiency, and genuine attempts to carry out their duties and responsibilities, he added, praising the hard work of the NJP/TTE Lobby staff.
Several exceptional performances by ticket checking workers greatly helped to creating this new benchmark for ticket checking earnings in NFR, he added in the release, adding that their efforts had a big impact on the success.
This outstanding accomplishment is a reflection of the ongoing work for NFR’s revenue protection initiatives and dedication to transparency, accountability, and proper ticketing awareness. Senior officials and Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager, of Northeast Frontier Railway, as well as other NJP employees, were pleased with the team’s success.
