NCL MoU to Provide Nutritious Meals to 10,000 School Children

NCL MoU with Sri Sathya Sai Annapurna Trust will provide nutritious morning meals to nearly 10,000 students across 126 schools in Sonbhadra district under the company’s CSR initiative.

Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has signed an MoU with Sri Sathya Sai Annapurna Trust under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to support nutrition and the overall development of school children.

Under the NCL MoU, nearly 10,000 students from Classes 1 to 8 will receive nutritious morning meals for one year. The programme will cover 126 schools in Sonbhadra district within NCL’s operational periphery.

NCL MoU Focuses on School Nutrition

The initiative aims to address the nutritional needs of school children. It is also designed to support their health, learning ability and regular participation in school.

The programme will provide children with nutritious morning meals throughout the one-year period. NCL is implementing the initiative as part of its CSR efforts in communities around its operations.

NCL MoU Signed with Annapurna Trust

The MoU was signed by Shri Rajeev Ranjan, General Manager (CSR), NCL, and Shri Ashish Bhardwaj of Sri Sathya Sai Annapurna Trust.

The collaboration will support the delivery of nutrition services to students across the identified schools in Sonbhadra.

As part of the same CSR initiative, supplementary nutrition was also distributed to children in schools under Nyaya Panchayat Kuldumri and Kota.
