Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal met leading US business leaders in New York to discuss opportunities for stronger partnerships and investments in India.
During his visit, Goyal met Jonathan Gray, President and COO of Blackstone; George Walker, Chairman and CEO of Neuberger Berman; and Stephane de La Faverie, President and CEO of The Estée Lauder Companies.
Piyush Goyal US Meetings Highlight Investment Opportunities
Goyal held discussions with senior executives on strengthening business ties and exploring investment opportunities in India.
During his meeting with George Walker, Goyal highlighted India’s resilient macroeconomic fundamentals and deepening capital markets.
He said India offers significant scale and long-term value creation opportunities for global institutional investors.
The meeting also included Anthony Tutrone, Global Head of Neuberger Markets; Andrew Komaroff, COO; and Zain Naqi, Managing Director.

Goyal also met Stephane de La Faverie, President and CEO of The Estée Lauder Companies, in New York.
The discussions focused on opportunities to strengthen business partnerships and expand investments in India.
Goyal was in the US to participate in the G20 Trade Ministers’ Meeting. During his visit, he also met US business leaders in Chicago and addressed members of the Indian diaspora.
The meetings underline the government’s focus on strengthening engagement with global businesses and attracting investments into India.
