In his inauguration speech at New Delhi’s “Chintan Shivir 2026,” Prataprao Jadhav emphasised the importance of the Ayush sector in realising the Viksit Bharat 2047 goal.
Reviewing progress, identifying gaps, and outlining a future-ready vision for the industry are the goals of the two-day colloquium held by the Ministry of Ayush.
In line with India’s worldwide healthcare goal of “Heal in India, Heal by India,” the minister emphasised the increasing importance of traditional medicine systems in treating lifestyle-related illnesses. He stressed that the government’s commitment to bolstering research, education, infrastructure, and global outreach is reflected in the increased fiscal support.
To make sure policies are effectively implemented at the local level, Jadhav demanded a stronger push towards research based on evidence, innovation, digitisation, and cooperation between ministries.
In order to increase access to Ayurvedic insurance and simplify the claims process, the All India Institute of Ayurveda and the General Insurance Council inked an MoU at the occasion.
Ayush services will be more widely available and used, and traditional wisdom will be better integrated with modern healthcare systems, according to officials.
