India and Russia Boost Engagement, Eye Growth in Steel Industry

Russian and Indian officials met at a high-level round table in New Delhi to discuss current initiatives and brainstorm potential future collaborations in the steel industry.

Industry leaders from both nations gathered for a meeting co-chaired by senior ministry officials and Mikhail Iurin to discuss long-term strategies.

Throughout the steel value chain, we prioritised acquiring raw materials, collaborating on technologies, manufacturing equipment, and forming research alliances. In addition, they looked at ways to expand cooperation and evaluated where bilateral engagement stands at the moment.

In line with their long-standing strategic alliance, India and Russia prioritised innovation, capacity building, and deeper industrial integration in their negotiations.

In order to seize new growth prospects in the steel and related industries, both nations have pledged to maintain open communication and increase their cooperation.
