IREDA Launches Month-Long Cyber Security Drive

IREDA has launched Cyber Security Awareness Month 2026 at its Business Centre in New Delhi. The initiative aims to strengthen cyber hygiene and promote a stronger culture of digital security across the organisation.

Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Chairman and Managing Director, IREDA, inaugurated the month-long campaign. The programme brings employees into the organisation’s wider efforts to build awareness around evolving cyber threats and safe digital practices.

IREDA Reinforces Cyber Security Commitment

As part of the inaugural programme, IREDA employees took a Cyber Security Pledge through a virtual platform. The pledge reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to maintaining a safe and secure digital workplace.

Addressing employees, Dr. Mohanty urged them to remain alert to emerging cyber threats. He stressed the importance of following safe digital practices and actively participating in the awareness activities planned throughout the month.

The initiative places employees at the centre of IREDA’s cybersecurity efforts. It seeks to encourage greater awareness of potential risks and responsible digital behaviour in day-to-day operations.

IREDA Conducts Cyber Security Awareness Session

The inauguration was followed by an interactive awareness session led by Shri Rashtra Shourya, a Cyber Security Expert.

The session covered common cyber risks and phishing attacks. It also addressed password hygiene and practical measures to protect personal and organisational data.

The session provided employees with guidance on recognising potential threats and adopting safer digital practices. It also highlighted the role of individual employees in strengthening an organisation’s overall cyber resilience.

Month-Long Cyber Security Campaign

IREDA will conduct a series of activities throughout October as part of Cyber Security Awareness Month 2026. The programme will include awareness sessions, quizzes, an essay-writing competition and expert talks.

The activities are designed to reinforce cyber hygiene among employees and encourage greater participation in digital security initiatives.

For IREDA, cybersecurity forms an important part of its operational resilience as the organisation continues its role in India’s renewable energy financing ecosystem. The month-long campaign underlines its focus on creating a more security-conscious digital workplace.
