IndianOil Drives Yamuna River Conservation Campaign Under Swachhta Pakhwada in Delhi

As part of Swachhta Pakhwada, the Yamuna Riverbank near Sarai Kale Khan in New Delhi was cleaned up by the Delhi State Office (DSO) and the Northern Region of IndianOil as part of the Yamuna Cleaning Drive. This was done to demonstrate the company’s dedication to environmental preservation, river revitalisation, and sustainable development. Members of the public, as well as workers and officers of IndianOil, took part in the campaign with great zeal, demonstrating the value of working together to maintain clean rivers across the country.

Manoj Kumar Tiwari, a member of parliament from northeast Delhi, was present as the chief guest, and the program was presided over by Hemant Rathore, executive director of the northern region and head of the state office in Delhi. Rathore welcomed the MP and presented a sapling as a token of IndianOil’s dedication to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future to honour the occasion.

As a group, the attendees renewed their resolve to keep rivers, public areas, and the environment clean by taking the Swachhta Pledge during the occasion. In his address, Manoj Kumar Tiwari urged the audience to do their part to restore and preserve the Yamuna River and praised IndianOil for combining environmental protection with its nation-building initiatives.

A signature drive was jointly launched off by Chief Guest Hemant Rathore and senior IndianOil executives to officially commence the campaign. After that, there was a massive cleanup along the Yamuna riverfront, during which people picked up trash and raised awareness of the river’s significance in India.

After the cleanup, there was a walkathon to raise awareness about the need of river protection and get more people involved. Promoting sustainable habits and protecting natural resources for future generations is an important goal of the campaign, which emphasised the need of community involvement.

As the show came to a close, participants planted trees to further emphasise the need of maintaining a clean environment while also protecting biodiversity and the long-term viability of our planet. Cleaner ecosystems, greener communities, and sustainable environmental practices across the country are supported by IndianOil’s Swachhta Pakhwada, which further demonstrates its commitment to corporate social responsibility.
