Indian Railways Completes Rs 26.88 Crore Revamp of Narwana Station

The reconstruction of Narwana Railway Station, which was funded by the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme and costing Rs 26.88 crore, has been finished by Indian Railways. The refurbished station showcases Indian Railways’ dedication to modernising railway infrastructure nationwide by providing modern passenger amenities, increased accessibility, and enhanced connection.

A countrywide effort, the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme would upgrade train stations with cutting-edge amenities for passengers and better connect them to the surrounding urban infrastructure. In order to enhance the travel experience as a whole, the program is focused on developing transportation hubs that are safe, accessible, and passenger-friendly.

A new station building and a 12-meter-wide Foot Over Bridge (FOB) with two passenger elevators were built as part of the makeover. Passengers will have an easier time navigating the station thanks to its newly renovated parking lot, rearranged circulation area, enhanced platform shelters, smoother platform surfaces, and tactile paths.

Through the development of Divyang-friendly infrastructure, special emphasis has been placed on ensuring universal accessibility. Accessible features have been installed at the station to enhance the travel experience for senior adults, Divyang passengers, and their families. These include tactile paths, accessible toilets, water booths, special parking spaces, and barrier-free services.
