India-UAE Partnership Takes Center Stage During Vikram Misri’s Abu Dhabi Visit

During their meeting in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, Vikram Misri and Reem Al Hashimy discussed the entire range of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the UAE.

Expanding bilateral cooperation across critical sectors was the primary emphasis of the discussions, as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The parties also addressed the changing regional situation and global challenges that both countries were concerned about. According to the MEA, the expanding framework of the strategic partnership between India and the UAE has allowed the two nations to discover new areas of cooperation.

Tensions in the West Asian region have been rising in the wake of recent assaults in the United Arab Emirates, prompting the gathering. The assault in Fujairah that wounded three Indian people was condemned by Narendra Modi earlier this week.

Prime Minister Modi condemned the strikes on innocent people and public buildings as “unacceptable” and reiterated India’s support for the UAE.

Furthermore, he emphasised the strategic necessity of a safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz for regional stability and global energy security, and the significance of peaceful resolution through diplomacy and negotiation. To make sure the injured Indian nationals get the medical treatment and humanitarian assistance they need, the Indian Embassy in the UAE has said that it is in constant communication with local authorities.

Attacks including missiles and drones targeting civilian sites and infrastructure were described by the UAE government as “renewed unprovoked aggression” and were blamed on Iran.

According to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event was a breach of UN Charter and international law, endangering the security and territorial integrity of the country.
