Directives at Amalgamated Bhowrah North South Colliery
During his visit to the C-2 hired Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) patch, the CMD directed officials to expedite dewatering, increase coal production and accelerate overburden (OB) removal.
He also instructed the team to achieve the production rate specified under the Environmental Clearance capacity of 2.3 million tonnes. Additionally, he directed officials to commission an extra weighbridge to streamline coal despatch.
Review of Amalgamated Sudamdih Patherdih Colliery
The CMD inspected the eastward extension of the fire patch and reviewed mining and dewatering operations. He instructed officials to accelerate production and ensure the phased, time-bound relocation of encroachers to facilitate mine expansion.
BCCL Reviews Washery Performance
During a review of Bhojudih Washery (2 MTY), Agarwal expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of both Bhojudih and Dahibari (1.6 MTY) washeries. He also noted slow progress at the under-construction Patherdih-II Washery (2.5 MTY) and directed officials to improve operational performance and expedite pending work.
The CMD urged the East Jharia Area team to work collectively to exceed production targets while strictly adhering to safety standards. The review reaffirmed BCCL’s focus on improving coal production and despatch in support of national energy security.
