Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) reported a 145% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹1,364 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. According to the company’s exchange filing, total income rose 51% to ₹10,239 crore in Q2 FY2026-27, compared with ₹6,767 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Operational revenue also increased 51% to ₹7,167 crore.

AESL recorded quarterly earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of ₹3,548 crore, up 67% year-on-year, marking its highest quarterly EBITDA to date. Operating EBITDA increased 68% to ₹3,070 crore. For the first half of FY2026-27, consolidated profit after tax (PAT) rose 137% to ₹2,600 crore, while total income increased 46% to ₹20,092 crore.

Order Book and Power Supply Expansion

Commenting on the results, AESL CEO Kandarp Patel said the company had strengthened its growth pipeline by winning the Vizag and Satara transmission assets. These additions took its active order book to approximately ₹87,000 crore, according to the company.

Patel also highlighted approximately 11% growth in units sold by the Mumbai distribution business and an installation base of around 15 million smart meters. He added that a 2.5 GW round-the-clock (RTC) power supply contract with MSEDCL reinforced the company’s capabilities in energy aggregation and power supply optimisation.

Segment-Wise Performance

Transmission operating revenue grew 17% year-on-year to ₹1,521 crore in Q2 FY2026-27. Distribution revenue from Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (AEML) and Mumbai-based distribution operations reported as MUL increased 2% to ₹3,181 crore.

Smart metering operating revenue under Ind AS surged 129% to ₹267 crore, while energy solutions revenue stood at ₹2,197 crore. AESL attributed its performance to growth across its businesses and disciplined financial management as it advances its project pipeline.

Adani Energy Solutions’ Q2 FY2026-27 results reflect strong growth in net profit, total income and EBITDA, alongside expansion across transmission, distribution and smart metering. Execution of its growing order book, expansion of its smart-metering base and delivery of energy infrastructure projects will remain important to its continued performance.
