India has officially launched its website, theme, and logo for the BRICS Presidency 2026, as introduced by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
The event also featured Union Ministers of State for External Affairs. BRICS encompasses eleven major emerging markets: Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates, serving as a platform for global consultation and cooperation on critical issues.
The logo blends tradition and modernity, featuring petals in the vibrant colors of member countries, symbolizing unity, while the “Namaste” gesture reflects India’s spirit of warmth and collaboration.
The theme for India’s chairmanship revolves around ‘Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation, and Sustainability,’ emphasizing a humanity-centric approach articulated by Prime Minister Modi at the 2025 Rio Summit.
As BRICS nears its 20-year anniversary since inception in 2006, India seeks to harness the collective potential of its member nations to tackle complex, interconnected global challenges, promoting practical cooperation and dialogue.
The priorities of the chairmanship will focus on resilience, innovation, cooperation, and sustainability, underlining the importance of capacity strengthening and sustainable development for all members.
