With high-level contacts in New Delhi, the two countries’ defence cooperation has intensified, with a focus on operational coordination and cooperative military development. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh met with Armenian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Edvard Asryan to look at ways to enhance bilateral defence ties.
Asryan met with A. P. Singh during his tour, and the two men discussed ways to strengthen air power cooperation and interoperability. Separate meetings with Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defence Staff, investigated potential partnerships in the creation of military gear.
India and Armenia have been steadily strengthening their strategic military relations, as both countries have reviewed their current cooperation and decided to increase interaction across several professional fields.
