HUDCO Successfully Concludes 62nd ITEC Leadership Programme Empowering Women Leaders

Indian commitment to women’s empowerment, international capacity building, and global development cooperation was reaffirmed at the 62nd Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Training Programme on “Leadership Skills for Women,” which was successfully concluded by Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO).

The Human Settlement Management Institute (HSMI) Hostel in the Asian Games Village Complex (AGVC), New Delhi, hosted the two-week program from June 18th to the 30th, 2026. The program was supported by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India. Participants would have the theoretical background and hands-on experience necessary to take on more leadership roles in their respective organisations and communities as a result of this program. Participants improved their leadership skills and gained significant insights into sustainable development techniques and inclusive governance through interactive seminars, practical debates, and the exchange of knowledge.

Professionals from diverse cultural backgrounds were invited to network as part of the program, which aimed to develop long-term institutional connections between Iraq and India. In their addresses to the audience, the dignitaries emphasised the rising profile of women as leaders in the fight for equitable, inclusive, and sustainable development.

They urged everyone to take what they learned from the program and use it to make a difference in their own communities, companies, and institutions. Leadership Skills for Women is an example of India’s ongoing commitment to advancing global gender parity and female leadership.

The effort strives to create a worldwide network of women leaders who are dedicated to inclusive government and sustainable development by providing them with enhanced leadership competencies, decision-making ability, and management skills.

By encouraging professional interactions and institutional collaboration, the program also fortifies bilateral ties between Iraq and India.
