GAIL India Limited Revises Timeline for Kochi–Koottanad–Bengaluru–Mangaluru Pipeline

A revised completion date of September 2026 has been set for the Kochi-Koottanad-Bengaluru-Mangaluru Pipeline (KKBMPL) project by energy company GAIL (India) Limited.

In accordance with Regulation 30 of the Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015, enacted by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the update was communicated to National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited. An important part of southern India’s natural gas infrastructure, the pipeline would improve gas connectivity across several states.

GAIL stated that the prolongation was caused by the fact that obstacle-free work fronts took longer to become available, which is a typical problem with massive infrastructure projects that involve land access, clearances, and logistical limitations. In order to facilitate industrial development, city gas distribution, and cleaner energy adoption in the southern area of India, the Kochi-Koottanad-Bengaluru-Mangaluru pipeline is anticipated to be an essential component in the expansion of the natural gas grid.
