At a meeting at Puri’s office, the Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, congratulated Sanjay Khanna on becoming the Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).
Sanjay Khanna has a degree in chemical engineering from NIT Tiruchirappalli and a master’s degree in financial management from Mumbai University. He has worked in technical services and refinery operations for more than 30 years.
As India speeds up its drive toward energy independence and expands and strengthens its refining capacities, the minister emphasised that Khanna’s appointment is crucial. Meeting attendees heard about Narendra Modi’s energy policy, which aims to increase domestic refining capacity and make the nation more energy independent.
Puri wished the incoming CMD well in his future endeavours and emphasised the significance of BPCL’s position in India’s changing energy scene.
