In order to improve banking accessibility, especially in rural regions, the Department of Posts announced on January 20 that 887 ATMs had been activated throughout India.
By enabling citizens to conveniently complete necessary banking chores like withdrawals and balance checks, this project advances the government’s objective of financial inclusion through digital transformation.
Further utilising its vast postal network, the Department has successfully completed its first online order through the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), marking an important milestone in providing digitally enabled logistics services.
