US Embassy in India commended the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for dismantling an illegal call centre targeting US citizens and arresting key operative Vikas Kumar Nimar.
The CBI’s coordinated efforts led to this action, aimed at disrupting international cybercrime networks and preventing future scams.
Nimar was apprehended in Lucknow, where the CBI also seized cash and incriminating evidence, including laptops used in these operations.
The investigation continues as part of ongoing efforts to safeguard citizens.
