Government backed financial support has helped Maharashtra-based J’Yani Fabrics Pvt. Ltd. expand its manufacturing operations, strengthen exports and generate employment, showcasing the impact of the Venture Capital Fund for Scheduled Castes (VCF-SC) in promoting entrepreneurship.
Based in Sangli, Maharashtra, the company manufactures premium terry towels for domestic and international markets. Led by entrepreneur Aditya Jede, J’Yani Fabrics has steadily expanded its production capacity while focusing on quality-driven manufacturing and export-oriented growth.
In 2017, the company received ₹2.39 crore in financial assistance under the VCF-SC scheme through a combination of equity and optionally convertible debentures. The funding supported business expansion, improved operational efficiency and enabled the company to upgrade its manufacturing capabilities to meet international quality standards.
According to the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the investment has helped the company strengthen its export ecosystem, improve market access and build a sustainable business model. The expansion has also created direct and indirect employment opportunities, contributing to the local economy.
Speaking about the company’s growth, Aditya Jede said the concessional financial support under the VCF-SC scheme has made the business financially stronger and better positioned for long-term stability and expansion.
The ministry said the success of J’Yani Fabrics reflects how targeted financial assistance can help Scheduled Caste entrepreneurs build competitive manufacturing businesses, increase exports and create jobs. Through the VCF-SC initiative, the government aims to encourage entrepreneurship, strengthen India’s manufacturing sector and promote inclusive economic development.
