SCI Director: Vipul Singhal Appointed Government Nominee Director

The Shipping Corporation of India has appointed Vipul Singhal as Part-Time Government Nominee Director on its Board with effect from 25 September 2026.

The SCI Director appointment has taken effect with the appointment of Shri Vipul Singhal as Part-Time Government Nominee Director on the Board of Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI).

SCI informed the stock exchanges about the appointment.

The appointment became effective on 25 September 2026, when Singhal obtained his Director Identification Number (DIN) 11971150.

Vipul Singhal is currently serving as Director (SBR) in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways (MoPSW).

SCI Director Vipul Singhal: Profile and Experience

Vipul Singhal belongs to the 2008 batch of the Indian Railways Traffic Service (IRTS).

He holds a B.Tech degree in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture from IIT Kharagpur.

Singhal has more than 17 years of experience in the logistics, transport and railway sectors.

His experience covers passenger and freight operations, safety and infrastructure planning.

He has also worked on policy formulation related to passenger fares, ticketing and digital initiatives in the Ministry of Railways.

SCI Board Appointment and Regulatory Disclosure

SCI has confirmed that Vipul Singhal is not related to any Director of the company.

The company has also confirmed that he is not debarred from holding the office of director by any SEBI order or any other authority.

The appointment follows SCI’s earlier intimation dated 24 September 2026 regarding approval from the Competent Authority for his appointment.

SCI Director Appointment Disclosed Under SEBI Regulations

SCI submitted the appointment disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations.

The disclosure was made to both the BSE and NSE.

SCI is listed on BSE under Scrip Code 523598 and on NSE under the symbol SCI.
