As part of its efforts to improve the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) quality testing and assurance procedures, Maharatna CPSE REC Limited of the Ministry of Power has inked an MoU with the Electrical Research and Development Association (ERDA).
An important step in enhancing the operational efficiency and quality standards of India’s electricity distribution infrastructure was marked by the signing of the agreement at SCOPE Complex in New Delhi.
Technical assistance, capacity-building programs, third-party quality testing, and the creation of strong quality assurance frameworks for RDSS projects are all areas in which REC and ERDA will work together under the terms of the MoU.
By working together, we can improve the nation’s power distribution networks’ dependability, efficiency, and long-term performance by making sure the materials used in RDSS works are up to code.
In the presence of top officials from both organisations, the MoU was signed by Prabhat Kumar Singh, Executive Director (RDSS) of REC Limited, and Brijesh Sachdeva, Head of ERDA North. Prince Dhawan, IAS, Executive Director (PMD) of REC Limited also attended the signing.
The partnership bolsters the successful execution of power sector reforms under RDSS and reaffirms REC’s dedication to infrastructure development that is led by quality.
