RailTel–Microsoft Alliance Set to Advance AI Adoption Across India

In order to promote AI innovation in the government sector and enable population-scale effect, RailTel and Microsoft have formed a revolutionary five-year strategic relationship. By creating an AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) with Microsoft’s assistance and developing RailTel as an AI-first company and a top systems integrator (SI) partner, this partnership seeks to promote digital, cloud, and AI transformation.

A thorough skilling programme under Microsoft’s AI National Skills Initiative and Enterprise Skilling Initiative is also part of the cooperation; it aims to give RailTel staff members knowledge of next-generation digital, cloud, and AI technologies. The two businesses will also collaborate to create AI solutions, with Microsoft providing technical advice to help define product roadmaps.

“By leveraging Microsoft’s expertise in cloud, productivity, and AI on the one hand, and RailTel’s resources & know-how on the other, we aim to drive innovation and efficiency across various public sector/government entities,” stated Sanjai Kumar, CMD/RailTel, in reference to this relationship.

The AI Centre of Excellence will be essential to this change, assisting us in providing innovative solutions that satisfy our clients’ changing needs and further the Government of India’s Digital India initiative.

Satya Nadella, the chairman and CEO of Microsoft, also brought up this collaboration in his recent keynote speech to business executives from several important Indian economic sectors in New Delhi.
