Oil India Limited (OIL) has signed a 15-year Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement (GSPA) with North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) to supply 1.4 MMSCMD of Natural Gas to NEEPCO’s Assam Gas Based Power Station (AGBPS) for another 15 years.
The agreement, executed by OIL’s Executive Director Ranjan Goswami and NEEPCO’s Executive Director Bijit Kumar Goswami, reaffirms OIL’s commitment to its strong reserve base and its ability to ensure sustained gas supply from domestic sources.
The partnership aims to secure power needs in Assam and the Northeast, strengthening regional energy security and promoting affordable and clean energy.
