NHPC CMD Highlights Clean Energy Drive, Reiterates Nation-Building Focus in 2026 Vision

Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), NHPC Limited Navratna Status under the aegis of Ministry of Power outlined the organisation’s Vision 2026 during a special programme held at the NHPC Corporate Office, Faridabad. The event was attended by Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical), and Mahesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Finance), along with senior officers and employees of NHPC.

Addressing employees, Shri Gupta extended New Year greetings to all NHPCians and highlighted the organisation’s key achievements during the past year. Reflecting on milestones achieved despite challenges, he outlined NHPC’s roadmap for sustainable growth, innovation, and operational excellence. He reaffirmed NHPC’s commitment to nation-building, clean energy transition, and community development, and called upon employees to work with renewed dedication and collective responsibility to strengthen India’s energy security and sustainable development.

Speaking on the occasion, Director (Personnel) Uttam Lal emphasised the critical role of human capital in NHPC’s success, highlighting initiatives related to employee welfare, capacity building, and a performance-oriented work culture.

Director (Projects) Sanjay Kumar Singh underscored the organisation’s focus on timely project execution and strengthening project management systems to support capacity addition and long-term growth.

Director (Technical) Suprakash Adhikari stressed the importance of technological innovation, safety, and quality standards in ensuring reliable power generation.

Director (Finance) Mahesh Kumar Sharma highlighted NHPC’s strong financial performance, prudent financial management, and focus on value creation and sustainable investments.

The programme also featured a captivating dance drama titled ‘Shri Krishna’, performed by artistes from Shri Ram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, New Delhi.

The event was witnessed by NHPC employees across locations through webcast as well as Facebook and YouTube Live.
