The MV Kevat has been delivered to the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) by Hooghly Cochin Shipyard Ltd (HCSL). The two organisations signed the delivery protocol at the HCSL Yard in Howrah, West Bengal.
The vessel is one of six 50-passenger hybrid-electric catamarans being built by HCSL for IWAI. The vessels are designed to support cleaner and low-emission passenger transport on India’s inland waterways.
