At a tripartite meeting in Bengaluru today, Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Metamind Systems Private Limited, and Kristellar Aerospace Private Limited inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on future-proof products and technologies in the fields of [BEL LICCO1] Cyber Security, Electronic Warfare & Avionics, Semiconductors, Data Centre, etc., for the benefit of both the defence and non-defense sectors.
The Indian IT company Metamind focuses on digital transformation solutions and AI-driven data analytics for industries including aerospace, defence, healthcare IT, and IT enabled services. With a focus on cyber defence, electronic warfare and avionics (EW&A), semiconductors, data centers, and other mission-critical products and solutions, Kristellar is a next-generation Indian aerospace and defence technology startup. Aerospace propulsion, CubeSat systems and mission delivery, radar, RF, EW and secure communications, artificial intelligence, and cognitive defence systems are all part of Kristellar’s commercial portfolio.
Their complementary strengths in business facilitation and technology innovation will be used by the Tripartite MoU. The collaboration will maximise the long-term value and success of projects undertaken by combining BEL’s manufacturing capabilities and marketing outreach with Metamind’s strategic government relations, project governance, and operational management expertise. Kristellar will bring advanced research and development capabilities and systems engineering to the table, further strengthening competitiveness and reducing execution risks. The goal is to deliver solutions that are scalable and future-ready.
In order to promote Mission Atmanirbhar Bharat and strengthen indigenous capabilities, the companies want to work together in the following areas: advanced technology development; manufacturing and supply of Aerospace & Defence systems; electronic modules and sub-systems in the areas of [BEL LICCO2] Cyber Security; EW&A; mass manufacturing of Semiconductor technologies; data center; and other products, systems, and solutions for the Indian defence and non-defense sectors. They also want to increase the export potential of “Make In India” goods and integrated systems.
