MoPNG Honours MRPL with Swachhta Pakhwada Awards for 2023 & 2024

At the Swachhta Pakhwada Awards in 2023 and 2024, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) acknowledged Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) for its ongoing commitment to sustainability and cleanliness initiatives.

The business won a consolation prize in 2024 and second place in Category B in 2023. Also, MRPL got some props for all the work it did to raise cleanliness awareness and encourage people in the area to do the same.

Swachhta Pakhwada, hosted every year from July 1st to the 15th by the Ministry of Public Goods and Government (MoPNG), is part of the larger Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative, which promotes cleanliness and raises public awareness.

In the previous year’s initiative, MRPL had won fourth place. Included in Category B are all associated organisations under MoPNG and CPSEs with an I&EBR target below ₹1,000 crore.

On April 28, 2026, representatives from the MoPNG presented the award to Chander Mani, Patrick Rajesh Minz, and A.K. Mishra on behalf of MRPL.
