During India Energy Week 2026 in Goa, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri officially opened the Hydrogen Zone, highlighting India’s dedication to sustainable energy.
The Oil India-hosted zone highlights cutting-edge hydrogen technologies that are essential to India’s energy transition, with an emphasis on breakthroughs in production, storage, and use. It seeks to illustrate how hydrogen may lower carbon emissions in industries that are challenging to decarbonise, such as steel and oil refineries.
The Hydrogen Zone is a component of India Energy Week 2026’s thematic exhibition, which drew over 75,000 visitors and showcased technology from a variety of energy-related industries.
