Delhi Airport has informed that IndiGo flights may continue to experience delays, urging passengers to verify their flight status before heading to the airport.
In its advisory, the airport emphasized that efforts are being made to minimize disruptions and facilitate a smooth travel experience. It also highlighted the availability of various public transport options for convenient travel.
IndiGo has initiated refunds totaling Rs 610 crore following government directives for timely compensation for canceled or delayed flights, prohibiting additional fees for travel rescheduling.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation noted improvements in IndiGo’s performance and implemented a fare cap due to recent cancellations and fare surges to maintain affordability for travelers.
Furthermore, IndiGo has been directed to reunite passengers with their baggage separated due to disruptions within 48 hours, successfully delivering 3,000 items recently. Continuous communication from the airline throughout this process is mandated.
