Western Coalfields Limited (Miniratna-I Status) under the Ministry of Coal expressed sincere respects to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary. Dr. Hemant Sharad Pande, Director of Human Resources, Director Technical of Planning and Projects, Chief Vigilance Officer Ajay Madhukar Mhetre, and Director (Finance) Bikram Ghosh paid their respects and offered floral tributes at a ceremony held at the company headquarters.
Dr. Hemant Sharad Pande, Director (HR), addressed the event and gave a lengthy speech regarding Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s life and ideas. The importance of the Constitutional concepts of liberty, equality, and fraternity in the nation’s progress, he emphasised, cannot be overstated. In light of the fact that our world is changing at a dizzying pace, Dr. Ambedkar reflected on Babasaheb’s beliefs and how they continue to have great significance.
During the show, Atul Bansod, who is the liaison officer for the SC/ST/OBC cell, gave a short biography of Babasaheb. As part of the event, staff members distributed Buddha Vandana.
Officers, employees, department heads, and general managers were all present at the ceremony, where they offered floral tributes and conveyed their profound reverence for Babasaheb. All of WCL’s departments, units, and establishments also had tribute events.
