Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a review of the Finance Department concerning the budget expenditures for the financial year 2025–26. Presentations were provided by 20 major departments outlining their budget allocations, approvals, and expenditures.

The Chief Minister emphasized the necessity for timely budget utilization to ensure project completion and public benefits, holding officials accountable for adherence to deadlines and decision-making efficiency.

He noted slow utilization rates in some departments and mandated monthly coordination meetings, alongside instructing the Finance Department to release pending budget portions.

Additionally, he urged departmental officials to liaise with the Central Government for timely budget releases and directed the Finance Department to begin preparations for the 2026–27 budget, including a review of past expenditures and strengthening coordination with the Central Government.
