Alpha Net Customer Contracts to be Acquired by Wipro for $70.8 Million

Alpha Net Consulting LLC and its subsidiaries (together called the Alpha Net Group) have stated that Wipro Limited has entered into a final agreement to purchase certain customer contracts from them. Three stock exchanges—BSE Limited, NSE of India Limited, and NY Stock Exchange—were informed of the disclosure.

Rather than purchasing an entity, this deal entails purchasing certain consumer contracts. This is all part of Wipro’s plan to strengthen its application services portfolio, which is headed by consulting and powered by AI. Clients in the United States, Singapore, India, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands are served by the Alpha Net Group’s enterprise software development, data engineering, and managed services operations. This acquisition is in line with Wipro’s ongoing efforts to advance its AI-first strategy and enhance its worldwide IT services footprint through strategic mergers and acquisitions.
