France to Unveil First Traditional Hindu Temple Featuring Hand-Carved Indian Stones

Constructed with stones imported from India and designed in accordance with centuries-old Hindu architectural traditions, the first traditional Hindu temple in France is about to be inaugurated, marking a significant cultural and spiritual moment in the country’s history.
As a sign of the deepening cultural ties between India and France, the temple was officially opened in September according to members of the Indian diaspora in France.

An Indian woman from France named Bhavi Parekh spoke at the event, praising the construction and saying that the temple is a symbol of India’s illustrious history and culture.

The unique thing about this temple is that its construction began in India and was finished in France. She expressed her joy at the opportunity for people to see the old house of worship.

According to BAPS community representatives, the temple was constructed with stones imported specifically from India and then assembled in France.

Members of the community have said that September will see the organization of a cultural celebration and inauguration program lasting fifteen days. The celebrations are sure to bring out worshippers, sightseers, and Hindus from all over the world.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the statement during his visit to Paris after participating in the G7 Summit in Evian. Members of the Indian diaspora greeted Prime Minister Modi with open arms upon his arrival in Paris.

In a social media post, the prime minister expressed his admiration for the Indian community’s work to forge closer links between France and India, and he stressed the continued importance of the alliance between the two countries to international development and collaboration.

In addition to being a place of worship, the new temple will likely play an important role in fostering cross-cultural understanding, bringing people together, and bringing attention to India’s rich spiritual history in Europe.
