At Global Wind Day India 2026, which took place in Goa on June 15, SECI was one of several renewable energy players, politicians, and business moguls that convened to plan India’s wind energy boom moving forward. The event featured a panel discussion in which SECI Managing Director Akash Tripathi (IAS) discussed resource adequacy in designing renewable energy capacity and the impact of wind on reducing energy costs.
Held under the topic “Wind Energy: From Ambition to Acceleration,” the conference was organised by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and brought together officials from the federal government, individual states, sector regulators, and trade groups.
Supporting India’s clean energy transition and bolstering long-term energy security required coordinated planning, technical advancements, and legislative reforms, which were the topics of the debates. The participation of SECI at the event highlighted its function in easing the implementation of renewable energy sources and lending assistance to India’s larger initiative to increase the proportion of wind power in the country’s overall energy mix.
