Noida, Greater Noida Get Electric Bus Network as Yogi Adityanath Launches Affordable E-Bus Service

Today, commuters will see the beginning of a massive electric bus service effort by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, which will boost sustainable public transit throughout Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Authority region.

Everything is set up for the official debut of the e-bus service, which will take place at Shilp Haat in Sector-33A, Noida.

The project’s stated goals include updating the NCR’s public transportation system, cutting down on carbon emissions, and giving commuters more efficient, cost-effective, and eco-friendly options for getting around town.

Nearly 300 visitors and stakeholders are anticipated to attend the inauguration ceremony, according to organisers.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will launch ten electric buses during the occasion, and other buses will set out on their routes from the Sector-90 bus depot.

Ten buses each will be operated by the Noida Authority, Greater Noida Authority, and Yamuna Motorway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) during the first phase of the deployment of thirty electric buses.

In order to cover large areas in a timely manner and with little disruption, representatives from all three agencies have worked together to create comprehensive route plans.

Passenger costs have been maintained low, priced between ₹20 and ₹50, according to Vandana Tripathi, the Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Noida Authority.

The forthcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar is slated to become a significant transportation node in northern India, and improving connection to it is one of the project’s primary goals.

Several of the NCR’s e-bus routes will take riders straight to the airport, while others will connect the region’s most important business, residential, and transportation hubs.

Sector-62, the Botanical Garden, Greater Noida West, Surajpur, Pari Chowk, and the soon-to-be-built Jewar Airport are all important stops on the route.

Commuters will find regional travel more convenient with the service’s connectivity to significant intercity transport hubs including Sarai Kale Khan, Anand Vihar, Ghaziabad, and ISBT.

The Yamuna Authority region is planning to increase transport connectivity between rural and urban areas by the construction of long-distance services in addition to urban routes.

A hundred electric buses are part of the bigger development plan; fifty of these buses will serve Noida, while twenty-five will go to Greater Noida and the Yamuna Authority area.

Also, 100 more electric buses have been green-lit by the Uttar Pradesh cabinet, so the environmentally conscious transportation system can grow substantially.

Public transit in Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna region would be greatly enhanced by the introduction of around 200 electric buses by the year 2026.

Sustainable urban transportation, reduced vehicle pollution, and improved last-mile connectivity for residents and visitors are all priorities for the state, and this effort is in line with those goals.

The introduction of the e-bus service by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is a significant step forward in Uttar Pradesh’s endeavour to promote environmentally friendly and contemporary public transportation. Planned fleet expansion to 200 buses by year-end, together with reasonable fares and airport connectivity, this project aims to revolutionise mobility in Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Authority region. It will also contribute to environmental sustainability.
