Tech companies like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon are pouring millions of dollars into developing AI infrastructure all throughout India, making the nation a vital ally of the US in the race to increase AI adoption, as reported in Arab News.
The paper states that due to its large population and abundance of data, India is well-suited to conduct AI trials in various industries, including healthcare and agriculture. The human capital required to maintain fast innovation is available in India, where the predicted AI skill pool surpasses 1.25 million by 2027.
China is still a serious threat to the United States’ dominance in artificial intelligence (AI) models and processing capacity. To keep its technological advantage in the face of increasing competition, the US could benefit from a closer relationship with India’s ecosystem, according to the paper.
It does, however, warn that, in order to reach its full potential, India has to close the skills gap between its available workforce and specialised artificial intelligence experts. It is believed that in order to construct a competitive, innovation-driven ecosystem, it is crucial to enhance cooperation between American companies and Indian experts.
In order to strengthen the partnership, the analysis proposes four goals: connecting the startup ecosystem in India with US funding and technology; creating resilient supply chains and infrastructure; facilitating the easy mobility of highly skilled workers; and finally, establishing common standards for cybersecurity, digital governance, intellectual property, and intellectual property.
It highlights the potential impact of such collaboration on the future of the world’s digital infrastructure, highlighting the importance of a secure and open technology environment and the strengthening of strategic relations between the two nations.
