At Hyderabad House, in a significant diplomatic engagement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung discussed a wide range of topics, including deepening cooperation in the areas of commerce, finance, shipbuilding, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, energy, and defence.
The leaders of the two countries met to discuss the current state of the India-South Korea Special Strategic Partnership and to brainstorm potential future directions for cooperation in areas such as cultural exchange, technology, and emerging technologies. Maritime cooperation, education, digital technology, the economy, and sports were among the many areas covered by the multiple memorandums of understanding that were exchanged.
President Lee had previously attended ceremonial events at Rashtrapati Bhavan and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat.
This is President Lee’s first trip to India, and it is widely anticipated that it will mark a watershed moment in the strengthening of the strong economic and democratic links that unite the two countries.
